In the last weekend’s racing of this shortened regatta season, the junior squads were at the Junior BritChamps and at Molesey Junior Regatta.
At BritChamps, the J18 pair (Gianluca and Richard) took Bronze after a charge to the line, while the J18 Girls (Lola, Francesca , Hannah, Elysia) narrowly missed out on a medal in the 4-. Ciaran and Julius took Silver in J16 pair, while the J16 quad made A final. The J15 squad was missing some key members because of Covid isolation, but the 4x+ (Harry, Fin, Thomas, Henry c Poppy) still took the silver medal.
At Molesey on the Sunday, in 30° temperatures, Harry won the J15 singles and a different lineup (this time Thomas, Henry, Alex J, Finley c Zoya) won the quads. The J14 girls and J13 boys both won their first rounds but lost in the finals; several competitors were in their first race but all enjoyed the experience.
