The wind and rain were both less severe than forecast for our local regatta, although it still wasn’t a pleasant day. The regatta was heavily oversubscribed so many crews that had been entered were unable to race. Nonetheless the Club had a successful day overall, with eight wins.
Adrian, Jamie, Chris and Paul took the Open quads, while J17 Tristan won the Open singles. For the Masters, Simon and Chris won MasE doubles. Then there were wins in WJ18 doubles (Holly and Bella), Open J18 doubles (Archie and Charlie), boys and girls J18 singles (Hugo and Holly), and WJ15 singles (Amelia). Among the younger competitors there were several first-time racers in J14 and J13 quads.
