A very successful day for the Club at Walton & Weybridge Regatta; it stayed dry all day and the sun shone much of the time, although the blustery headwind in the afternoon particularly made life very difficult for the smaller and lighter crews.
Nonetheless we notched up 14 wins: too many to mention all the names but they ranged from WJ14 singles (Kiriana) to Masters GH doubles. Eleanor and Harry won their respective J18 singles events, as did both the Women’s Masters quads, the J16 boys (Patrick, Alex, Denis and Evan) and J14 girls (Leila, Evangeline, Darcy and Rachel c Zara). Doubles wins also included WJ18, J15 and J18 and two halves of a Walton/Bewlbridge composite.
There were also several finalists, including some very good results for the first-time racers in the youngest age-groups.
