A scorching hot weekend at Holme Pierrepont (no, that doesn’t happen!) saw some red hot results for the Walton crews, particularly the strong masters ladies’ entry.
A neck-and-neck race race in the Non-championship C2x saw Holly and Tara take Gold over Peterborough RC. The women’s eight missed gold by less than a second in the Championship C8+, losing to a very strong Kingston crew. Second for the women’s C4-, third for the women’s C4x and fourth for the woman’s E2x who had a tricky start but stormed back to catch the field producing some of the fastest splits of the day!!
For the men, Simon Mepham and Chris Leonard won silver in D2x, and Mike Bishop and Jonathan Batey the bronze in G2x. Mike and Jonathan were also in the G4x which narrowly missed the final.
