The Walton Masters squad had a great time at Nottingham bringing home five medals and enjoying some tight racing in remarkably calm conditions. On the Saturday Steve and Ali led the way winning Mixed C doubles and were the fastest crew on handicap as well. The Masters E quad with Neil, Glyn, Mike B and Steve finished strongly but had to settle for a bronze after Glyn and Mike had come forth in E doubles. The biggest smile of the day came from Vince G who won Novice E singles in fine style having rowed in the E Novice coxed four which came third in another close race in a time quicker than the younger age groups. Pete, Matt, Andy and Roland made the final of D quads after coming through a tough semi and finished fifth. Wendy and Michael won Mixed Novice E doubles.
On the Sunday Neil and Graham won silver in E pairs and the the E coxless four narrowly missed a medal by 0.07 second after a very close race.
