The Club had eight wins at Kingston Small Boats Head last Saturday, including a full sweep of the Womens’ Masters events! Nicola, Kat, Holly, and Ekaterina won Mas B/C 4x, Hilary, Hazel, Suzi and Béatrice the D/E and Carol, Helen, Judy, and Birgith (Kingston) the F/G events. The womens senior quad (Band 3) of Kitty, Lydia, Amber and Beth also won their event.
To make it a clean sweep Tara won the Mas B/C single.
For the juniors, Rebecca and Francesca again won WJ18 2x and Ciaran, Julius, Ben and Richard the J18 4-. The J16s were kept in suspense for a few days as there was a mix-up over just which crew had gone through the wrong arch, but the 4- ( Alex R/Henry H/Finley/Harry) were finally confirmed as the winners, while the different combination of Alex J, Thomas, Max and Harry won the 4x event. Several other crews and scullers achieved second and third places, including the mixed J14 quad (Charlie, Archie, Helka and Phoebe) which came second in the Open J14 event.
