Congratulations to Callum Gathercole on being voted Surrey Sports Personality of the Year at the Surrey Sports Awards on 6th December! There was a very strong field with several Olympians also in contention, but the award recognised Callum’s achievement not only in becoming the youngest person to row the Atlantic solo, but also in raising over £200,000 for his chosen charities.
Callum sends his thanks to the club for offering up the venue for various events throughout the last few years as well as to all the members who have been so supportive.
