Walton Small Boats Head on Saturday, 12th December has 660 entries this year. Entries Secretary Mike Everington had to close entries over a week early, when the middle divisions reached over 180 entries. The list of entries includes many clubs who have attended every event since our first race in 1974, but also some new names, including Mossbourne Academy in East London, whose J18 double leads off the field with start number 1. The weather for the weekend is likely to be mild but with some showers, so we expect excellent racing conditions.
Walton Small Boats Head started in 1974 and was the first multi-division winter head to allow all classes and to encourage doubling up between divisions. Many clubs have used it for seat-racing and many previous winners have gone on to win medals for GB and at Henley.
