A busy day at Egham on Sunday for the junior crews, who won five events and the Victor Ludorum. There was a full house in J14 and J15 doubles; Patrick and Denis worked hardest for their win – they had two re-rows so six races to win J15 doubles. Helka and Phoebe won WJ14; they have tried for this all season so this was a good reward. Park and Issy S took the WJ15, and in all-Walton final for the J14 event Archie and Charlie beat James and Peter.
Juliette, Issy H, Fiona and Hannah c James won WJ15 quads, while the WJ14s narrowly lost in the final. Both boys’ quads were beaten by the eventual winners from Windsor Boys, and the J13s – many of them in their first-ever race – also raced well and enjoyed their day.
