The Club had a great day at Weybridge Silver Sculls on Saturday, with a total of 18 wins across Masters, Seniors and Juniors, doubles and singles. Walton scullers took 10 of the top 20 places overall, including the fastest junior crew and fastest overall (Pat and Matt), fastest women’s crew (Katherine and Amy) and fastest women’s senior crew (Alex and Anya). Sam and James were the fastest senior men’s crew and Jan was fastest-equal in the singles, with Matt just 3 seconds behind.
There were also many good results lower down the ranks, and several scullers enjoying their first race. We did have one swimmer (who got back in and finished the race) and, despite this being our home reach, several collisions with moored boats and trees along the bank!
