For the first time in two years, there was good weather and very little stream for the Silver Sculls race on Saturday. Walton had 55 entries, resulting in eleven wins and many second and third places.
Notable were Charlie and Jake, who not only won their J18 doubles event but were the fastest crew overall, while Scarlett and Emilia not only won WJ16 doubles but were the fastest women’s crew, beating the WJ17 and WJ18s. A great win also for Kateia and Tally, first in a huge WJ15 field and beating all the WJ17s. Max and Oliver won J17 doubles, and Leila/Kateia the WJ17, while Amelia G was a close second in a big field of WJ16 singles. Both boys’ and girls’ J14 singles (Ethan and Oli) won their divisions comfortably.
For the Masters, Johno was half of a WLT/DEW double that won MasD, while Lauren and Vicky won WMasNov; Jamie and Richard T won their respective singles divisions.
