Veterans Rowing has experienced rapid growth over the past decade. Walton Rowing Club has long been active in Veterans Rowing and is a leading club competing in the UK and internationally.

The Veterans of WRC have logged numerous Veterans National Championships and FISA World Championships over the past two decades, in many boat classes and age categories.  For example last year we had Veteran members at the Henley Veterans Regatta, the Veterans National Championships, the Veterans World Championships, the Indoor National Championships, the Armada Cup in Switzerland, as well as competing in both the Veterans and Senior fours, eights, and scullers heads.  

Many Veterans do not want to compete, but for those that do the club’s veterans can train year round.  Winter training is a mix of gym during the week, rowing on weekend mornings, and occasional evening outings with lights, with the captain's permission.  Summer training is on the water, with members being down on any day, but especially Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
