Richard Thiemann reports: Walton girls entered a four for the Groton Schools Challenge Cup at Women’s Henley. Despite a lack of race practice, they put up a good performance against the Australian schools’ cham-pions but were unable to match their pace. The whole crew will be eligible to compete in the event again next year and this year will have provided excellent experi-ence of top level racing. |

Walton Rowing Club Barbecue Where? At the Clubhouse
When? 7.30pm, Saturday 7th June 2008.
The barbecue will be held after Walton & Weybridge Regatta with all proceeds going to the building fund. |

The regatta season got off to a great start for the Club at Marlow Sring Regatta with three wins. Due to a high steam forecast the event had been transfered to Dorney where conditions were good.
Chris Barrs 4+ won VC, Glyn Groom and Phil Ellis won VC 2x and Angus Groom won J16 1x. |
