Sometimes our success on the water obscures the fact that the Clubhouse is falling down and we urgently need better facilities, otherwise we will lose these successful and committed oarsmen and scullers.

Women’s Henley Regatta PDF Print E-mail

Richard Thiemann reports: Walton girls entered a four for the Groton Schools Challenge Cup at Women’s Henley. Despite a lack of race practice, they put up a good performance against the Australian schools’ cham-pions but were unable to match their pace. The whole crew will be eligible to compete in the event again next year and this year will have provided excellent experi-ence of top level racing.

Walton Rowing Club Barbecue Where? At the Clubhouse When? 7.30pm, Saturday 7th June 2008. The barbecue will be held after Walton & Weybridge Regatta with all proceeds going to the building fund.

Marlow Spring PDF Print E-mail
The regatta season got off to a great start for the Club at Marlow Sring Regatta with three wins. Due to a high steam forecast the event had been transfered to Dorney where conditions were good. Chris Barrs 4+ won VC, Glyn Groom and Phil Ellis won VC 2x and Angus Groom won J16 1x.
