Congratulations to Morgan Boulding and Callum Gathercole for great results at the Junior Squad Small Boats trials held at Dorney on Sunday! Callum won the B final single sculls and beat a few A finalists on time. Morgan (and his pairs partner Elliot Piercy, St Georges) won the pairs A Final, dead heating with a Hampton crew which had Walton old boy Alistair Douglas in it! Ollie Knight also came fourth racing for St Edwards.

Well done as well to the WJ15 girls quad for their silver medal at the inter-regionals on Saturday at Nottingham.

A great weekend of results is ahead with club crews racing at Munich, Wallingford and Chiswick.

Walton crews had a great day at the Schools Head with the boys four dominating, 40 seconds clear of the 2nd placed boat, and proving their mastery of both sweep and sculling having won the quads last year! Congratulations to Callum Gathercole, Andrew Whitbread, Morgan Bolding and Andy Bedford.

The girls quad of Sophie Thean, Katie Dent, Hannah Paremain and Katy Denham showed they are returning well from illness and injury to take an excellent 3rd place from a large field of 20 crews.

And the girls J16 eight rowed really well to get Walton's best ever eights placing at a Schools Head by coming 5th. Alice Jefferies, Georgia Mercer, Honor Liley, Nina Giambrone, Tilly Catlin, Becky Traylen, Ellen Potts and Katie Giambrone were coxed brilliantly by Izzy Fish and are already looking forward to next years race as most of them are still J15.
