The New Walton Rowing Club Boathouse

Walton Rowing Club supports many of the local schools and universities, providing training facilities, equipment and coaches. It is in this age group that the club has flourished over the last 10 years and is now literally bursting at the seams. The club has been feeding the National Rowing Team with athletes since 1964, and the current crop is no exception. This year Matt Tarrant competed at the Junior World Championships in Beijing , and athletes from the club were also selected for the European Junior Championships and the Home Countries Regatta. The new boathouse will provide these youngsters with the environment necessary to achieve at the highest level, their sights firmly set on the London 2012 Olympic Games in 5 years time.

Walton’s current clubhouse dates back to 1954. While it has been extended and improved many times since then, it is now time to replace it. We now have planning consent to build a new boathouse. The new building will ensure the growth and continued success of the club which plays a big part of life in the local community.

The club had a fund raising committee in 1952, which had a target of £650. Times have moved on, and our target today is £400,000. We have a variety of fund raising projects and initiatives to give your business huge exposure locally and nationally.

All donations over £1,000 will go on a donor’s board which will be on display in the bar of the new boathouse.

Your company can sponsor a boat. Your logo will be on your chosen boat(s) in several positions. Our fleet races regionally, nationally and internationally. A general price guide is as follows; £8,000 for an eight, £5,000 for a four, £3,000 for a pair/double, £2,000 for a single.

One of the best ways to advertise your support for the club is to sponsor our kit. Your logo will be highly visible in press photography. The guide price is £10,000.

All other donations over £5,000 will have a boat rack in the new boathouse named after them for life.

There are lots of other options are possible for corporate donations - boat trailer branding, your company banner on the new huge club balcony, training kit sponsorship. We will be pleased to discuss any other ideas. Please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it with all enquiries.
