Five more wins saw Walton's regatta season rounded-off in style at Burway. The day started slowly with only the Masters quad and the J15 double of Laurence Fain and Scott Atkinson having won any silverware in the first and second divisions. We did have lots of promising results from the youngsters though with Rory Harris only missing out by one length, and Edward Wilkinson being pipped by 2 feet in his J11 singles final.

But then we had three wins in the last few races of the day to finish the regatta season on a high! The "Dads" four of Andy Tomalin, Matt Gaywood, Neil West (subbing in for Ian Tarrant who was in Amsterdam watching son Matt win a World u23 Bronze medal in the eight!) and Peter Knight, coxed by another one of the sons, Harry Gaywood, pulled comfortably away from Maidenhead to win their final. Then Sophie Thean stormed past her opposition to win girls J15 singles, and Natalie Dailey and Katie Dent were very impressive in winning WJ16 doubles.
